There are women in my life who are not mothers, and each year, when we celebrate Mothers Day, I feel awkward. So I have decided that in addition to Happy Mother’s Day, I am also saying Happy Ladies’ Day, a celebration for all women…they certainly deserve it.
The holidays presented a wonderful opportunity for my husband, Bruce, and I to take our two 14-year-old granddaughters to Florida for a few days. Maddie and Jessie, seven weeks apart, growing up as sister/cousins and to quote one of them, “are sharing their lives!”
